Alright lad's I've invited a fella on here I used to know a while back who does various tee's and artwork based around a casual and cultural lifestyle, music/clothing/art- nothing tacky etc but high quality material's- tee's and the like but I'll let him put up what he's about, just rediscovered him on Facebook of all places - his blog and website....
Had a few conversations with him on another forum, he was supposed to be designing a jacket of some sort iirc, never heard anything about it since, so I d be interested to see how far he s got with it
Chatted to him on face book or twitter and asked if he wanted to produce a couple of bits for me....we wait and see, but looks like he's putting out some good pieces and the concept is on experimenting and quality
Although i've been at this for some time now - its all very early days for glass siren studio . i'm taking my time learning various processes, gaining knowledge and still working away on the t-shirt project which is gradually picking up momentum and now leading to other clothing projects. i've just had my work exhibited at the RDV mesnwear show over in Paris and hopefully i'm just about there production wise to be able to start dealing with shops again so fingers crossed you might see a bit of a presence from glass siren in the near future......

welcome aboard damon, hope everything plans out for ya, some good stuff youve got going there.
I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE WORTH ADDING THIS INFO BELOW JUST SO THOSE WHO DONT KNOW WHAT I'M UP TO HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT I PRODUCE.
GLASS SIREN STUDIO T-SHIRTS EXPLORE THE POTENTIALS OF DYE PROCESSING, FABRIC ENHANCEMENT TREATMENTS AND CREATIVE PRINT PROCESSES.
THE ACTUAL GARMENT DESIGN YOU SEE HERE HAS UNDERGONE COUNTLESS STAGES OF REFINEMENT AND REVISION TO REACH THE FINAL PRODUCT WE HAVE TODAY.
EACH ONE IS CRAFTED FROM THE FINEST GRADE COTTON AVAILABLE. THEY ARE PRODUCED USING ONE OF BRITAIN'S REMAINING MANUFACTURING UNITS WHICH IS CAPABLE OF OUTPUTTING VERY HIGH GRADE GARMENTS IN LTD PRODUCTION RUNS.
THIS HAS BEEN A TIME CONSUMING PROJECT, FROM SOURCING THE BEST QUALITY MATERIALS, EXPERIMENTING WITH THE PATTERN AND STITCH DETAILS AND FINDING MANUFACTURES WITH THE SAME PASSION FOR THE PROJECT AS YOURSELF, HOWEVER THE OUTCOME HAS BEEN WORTH THE EFFORT.
TAKE A LOOK AT THE CLOSE UP PHOTOGRAPHS BELOW OF THE PRECISION STITCH DETAILS AND THE DYE CHARACTERISTICS - THESE ARE SERIOUS QUALITY ARTISAN PRODUCED GARMENTS.
THE KEEPING THE PEACE T-SHIRT FEATURED HERE HAS BEEN DYED AFTER IT WAS CONSTRUCTED, USING A PIGMENT PROCESS WHICH COATS ONLY THE FABRICS SURFACE. SMALL BATCHES ARE DYED TOGETHER IN DRUMS AND SPUN AT HIGH TEMPERATURE FORCING THE GARMENTS TO RUB AGAINST EACH OTHER WHICH PRODUCES A UNIQUE ANTIQUATED EFFECT ON THE FABRICS SURFACE, WITH PARTICULAR EXAGGERATION ON ALL SEAMS AND STITCHED AREAS. THE GARMENT HAS THEN BEEN ENZYME WASHED WHICH REMOVES ANY PILING WHICH WAS BUILT UP DURING THE DYE PROCESS LEAVING AN ULTRA SMOOTH SURFACE TEXTURE.
THE 'KEEPING THE PEACE' ARTWORK HAS BEEN PRINTED BY HAND USING A SPECIAL METAL PARTICLE INK MIX WHICH IS CONTAINED IN A CLEAR RESIN BASE. THE IMAGE WAS PRINTED THROUGH THE FINEST SCREEN MESH AVAILABLE, SO THE FINAL IMAGE DEFINITION WAS EXTREMELY SUBTLE, CREATING AN ALMOST GHOSTED EFFECT..................
