Don't see it at all, especially not to begin with, if they do win the Premiership people will just be happy that it's a change from the usual suspects. Even considering some of the players they have poached so far, Everton are hardly going to be FUMING over loosing Lescott for 23 million or Villa fans the same after losing Milner for 25.
Quote by RVP's Left FootMan City taking over from Man Utd as most hated team. Not quite yet as fans ain't as arrogant as most Man U fans. Wait till they win/buy the League.
Some of the money the big club's are spunking on player's is obscene. The problem we have now is the smaller club's within the Premiership are being priced out of the market and we now have at least 3 different levels within the Premiership, one day the whole lot is gonna implode.
Back on track, wouldn't say Man City are as hated as Man Ure, but their giving it a good go.

One day? I think that process is well underway. Given the draw that 'big' games i.e. Man United vs Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid etc have to sponsors and owners I could envisage a continental league within my life time. Seriously depressing state of affairs.

suppose money doesn't buy success , look at Blackburn , won the league - then they're getting relegated , correct me if I'm wrong . Assembled a great side , League title , then nitto .. shame they couldn't have built on that success ..
Quote by avfc_LoyalHope Man city never win the league because it then prove's money can buy success.
as opposed to, domestically, chelsea and manchester united's more organic approach? the thing with city is they're unearthing a new conservative breed of football supporter who secretly likes the status quo. shameless blog plug on the subject here: http://biffbifferson.blogspot.com/2010/1...ts-problem.html

Leicester do it as well now, copied from Man City. We're the only team in the Championship that do it.
Quote by someoneelseFair enough, it was just your "only team in the Championship to do it". Sounded like a boast.
Nah I personally hate it. I think us and Man City are the only two teams in England that do it. It started out as a pisstake of theirs, but soon caught on and happens after every goal.
Also am I the only one that hates music being played after goals are scored? Fucking cringeworthy.

Swansea started doing it too, I can bet you a few teams will be doing it next season.
