I don't mean to speak ill of the dead but I think her success was more to do with Mark Ronson's production than her singing ability, she had an OK voice but I've heard plenty who sound like her.

People can speak how they like of her imho because she made that lifestyle for herself, every band/artist/dj etc put themselves out there for fame or criticism, and every different person will have their own take on them be it good or bad.

you are right. sadly she has. she does not have the same media coverage as a junkie on the street and as someone who knows and knew junkies she had every opportunity to sort her life out but chose not to. fuck her. I await the next junkie that went to my school to die so I can see the waste of talent pish that is being peddled just now.

Fair play, RIP. Didn't think she was up to much really, me. Can't believe it though - this morning my facebook was full of people going on about the weather and their breakfast. This afternoon it's all Amy Winehouse. Some 90 innocent have been murdered in Norway, no one gives a fuck.
It's a shame but it was a matter of time that she would die this way. I really liked her music, a few songs were great stuff, back to black for example ... R.I.P. Amy!
Shame for the family , i shall use it as a teaching for my kids that drugs are not an answer to ones problems , she didnt want to kick the habit and paid the ultimate price , if some of the smack heads on benefits can kick it with some help im sure a millionare could, again shame for her family , death affects a lot of hidden people , R.i.p.

My missus works in a rehab and blake was in there few years back, He didn't complete the program and spent a bit of time afterwards in Sheffield, His last story in the tabloid with some bird who he got pregnant was all fabricated, Amy did pop over to see him and the commotion it caused for her workplace was unreal. Hope to fuck he doesn't or try to benefit from this situation
I think she wanted to be the next Billie holiday, and partly succeeded, but in the wrong way. I know people may say she didnt want to come off drugs, but when you re a junkie, you dont always make the right choice..
