Chelsea have been referred to as "The rent boys" for as long as I can remember, the 70s. So I'm not quite sure why you're spitting your dummy? Maybe it's because you're getting turned over by QPR
you had a go below about someone getting their facts right - the whole Chelsea rent boy thing emanates from the mid 80s when the tabloids wrongly reported that when some of Chelsea's lads were dawn raided during that cunt Thatcher's clamp down (won't be long Maggie...) that one of them was in bed with a bloke. It was, of course, lies but hardly surprising from the British red tops.
So you get your facts right Mr Knowitall! Apologies to Kelly Clarkson.

Well if that is fact then I stand corrected on being a decade out. But I knew it was a long-standing joke, and so did everyone else. I'm still not sure what it has got to do with the Glazers though

Mr. Vasque, I actually kind of like you. You are a staunch red and I admire that and I find old school United fans very knowledgeable about their football. However - I haven't made any reference to the Glazers. But now that you mention it.....Football had sold its soul a long time before Roman Abramovich arrived in sw6. United played their part. The Champions League - a competition contrived by the biggest and richest clubs in Europe to make themselves bigger, richer and more powerful. That is undeniable. The greed of Europe's so-called elite is incredible - in Spain Barca (who now have a huge amount of coat tailers in Britain) and Real receive almost 40% of the tv revenue between them. In effect their greed created monsters like Abramovich. So I have no sympathy whatsoever for fans of the establishment clubs (and don't try and tell me United aren't part of the establishment of English football) when they whinge about Abramovich or City's Arab owners. They created them afterall.
I think he's a very decent player..and a Character but not a bad character! need more lads like him in the game..he gives a lot of money to charity as well and young children which I respect the hell out of.

If you read through this thread you will notice that I referred to Chelsea as the "renties" in a post about the match at Loftus road, which fans of many clubs call you for the reason you mentioned. If was meant as it has always been meant, a bit of a piss-take but nothing malicious. Steve obviously let himself get wound up about it and proceeded to then tie that in with United selling their soul to the Glazers.....or something. Forgetting that United floated on the stock market in '91. So that is where that came from.
As for modern football, I totally agree with you that it is an absolute clusterfuck nowadays and the major clubs of Europe all had a part in creating what we have. My interest is at an all-time low because of it but a bit of banter now and then is hard to resist.
I'm not sure that United created Abramovich and Sheikh Mansour. I'd be more inclined to say they created and attracted the parasite owners who only want to take out of the clubs ie: the Glazers and them pair of cunts who had Liverpool. The money being spent at city will never be repayed to the Sheikh. Have you seen their new training complex design, it is unreal? They also announced yesterday about increasing the Etihad stadium capacity to 70,000. I don't think it will be fair to point at United in twenty years time when we have twenty Premier league clubs all owned by billionaires and say "it's all your fault".
think I did react a bit emotionally , no offence meant , hate seeing Chelsea lose , as I regard myself genuine to the club - instead of the glory riders of late . football is totally ruined by the greed of a few , and has totally reversed what I loved and grew up with , football has changed only for the worse , but I still love my club , and am passionate towards it ... I went in a tangent , probably unjustifiable - bit like hitting out and reacting I suppose .. but my club has been there from when I can remember , and though we have had such good success it's came at a price ..
No offence taken. And I like a bit of real passion at football instead of this modern day thing of crying in your seat that seems to have spread around the country.

well at least we agree on something. The whole thing is bollocks if you ask me and to be honest I cringe as much nowadays when I see crowd shots of Stamford Bridge as I do when I see them of Old Trafford. I look outside of the Premiership nowadays to get my enjoyment from football. Sad but true.
In fact, I wrote an article about it recently - it's too long to post up here but pm me if you want a copy of 'It's called football days in London'. Actually, if anyone wants a read of it drop me a pm.

I nearly cried at work when I saw we lost at home to fucking Macclesfield!
He's now Manchester's ambassador for fireworks safety. What a fucking legend. Can't understand why people hate him, he's 21 and having a great time. Goes around handing money out to tramps, mediating for a kid that's getting bullied in school, high-fiving strangers, drives to a women's prison out of boredom, £25,000 on his drivers seat "because he can".
When you think about it, that'd be a funny sight wouldn't it, helicopters being attacked whilst trying to fly off aha, there was also another bit of contrevercy surrounding this regarding rio ferdinand, he was going to the NFL game aswell, not sure if actually with the glazers themselves but he was also getting a helicopter down straight after the game, united fans said he shouldn't be going and should be fully concentrated on the game, if anything he fucking fell asleep for an hour and a half before his flight.
