The gems in the eye shine in the most irrelevant places but then again in the relevant impartially.
two sides to the Island , quiet serine and relaxing beaches and old town , or the mad lively nightlife - pick and choose , is a lovely place , and can be crazy ..
went to Ibiza for a week this summer , that was my second time and i enjoyed it but the prices in the big clubs take the piss , 20 euro and jack D and coke in space 12 euro a bottle of water !!!!!! San Antonio has always been a cesspit but this year the amount of drunk scummy weegies was unbelievable , must be due to the cheap flights leaving from prestwick , felt like glasgow city centre with heat some nights, enjoyed it but doubt i will ever go back
I am away there on thursday for a fortnight, 5th year in a row for me. Staying in Playa Den Bossa again. It is not too expensive if you are careful. Only fools would actually cough up 15 euros for a beer. Just go to a bar first, which will usually be cheaper than bars here, untill about 2am, then head to whatever club once you are suitably loaded. While club tickets can be expensive, you are seeing the best DJs in the world in some of the best clubs in the world. Also, if it is your thing, pills are a far cheaper and more enjoyable option than alcohol. My best advice would be to completely avoid San Antonio, it is the British part of the island and needless to say it's full of absolute whoppers who think it is alright to act like complete dicks just because they are abroad. The Green Police are pretty heavy handed there too, any excuse... That said, it is alright if you want an easy slag, but apart from that it is shit. The two clubs there - Eden and Es Paradis are pretty poor too. Playa Den Bossa is much better imho, distict lack of whoppers. Bora Bora beach is decent and it is right next to Space - one of the great clubs. Also not too far from Pacha, which has some tremendous nights this summer. Amnesia is always good for Cream and the Eric Prydz/Annie Mac Presents line ups are pretty good. Zoo Project on saturdays is decent, and DC10 is well worth a visit. For a chilled oput day, rent a car and head to the North of the island, some amazing and pretty quiet beaches up there and some fantastic places to eat if you like fish. It is also worth getting a boat to Formenterra for the day, again the beaches are spot on.
Quote by get the beer inMeeting up with my lad later, he's just got back from Shagaluf, hoping he's got some juicy tales for his old fella.
LOve it mate. LIving the dream through the offspring

Ibiza = Death, Used to fly over a lot for closing parties September, weekend and played @ Underground (Mr Cs villa) 2004, not sure if this still going, opposite Manumission, prices for folk stupid, pacha 50 euro entrance, but a real rawkous experience, too many stories from my experience, grand if your young, as Steve says north of the island stunning serene and quiet, the island has it all, choose at your peril

Went over for the closing parties myself, a few less arseholes floating about. First time over there and despite it being expensive I had a cracking time although obviously would have loved to have went during its heyday. Stayed in Eivissa (Ibiza Town) which is very nice and ventured to San Antonio a few nights, It's a shithole imo, too "package 'oliday" for me. Playa Den Bossa was class and within walking distance from where we stayed, could walk along the coast pretty much the whole way which was sound.
Ibiza is an absolute paradise. I have done the lads holiday and got absolutely wrecked in san an every night but i would love to see the 'other side' of the island.
I would definetly recommend going to the beach by cafe mambo with a few beers and watch the sunset before you start properly drinking... Absolutely amazing!!!
