Been a while since I properly posted last, I trust you are all well???
So.....weekend just gone had a dedicated MAN DAY, met up witl all my good mates from all over the UK, left the women at home and started off by going to the shotgun range for a bit of clay pigeon, rifle and high powered rifle shooting.
Racked up a rather respectable 25 out of 30 on the clays, happy with that. Consisted of a 'rabbit' shoot, an incoming shoot and an away from you double clay shoot. Basically I won......just saying..... ha ha.
Next on the agenda was a pub lunch washed down with a large helping of Ashton press cider...........
To then finally get out on the beer, which included a warm up of power hour followed by a bit of a rough game of footie (of which I pretty much went throught the neighbours fence panel) with several boat races which ultimately ended up with me getting absolutely shitfaced......
GOOD TIMES!
was nice to get out having been working like a beast for the last 2 months in my new job. ]
Anyone else had a punt at the old clay pigeon shooting???
Boat race was a drinking game in the movie Beerfest I think?
Not really doing much this weekend other than football but in October I'm off to see Wilwall play then in November I'm going to the UFC in Brum and then later on in the month I'm going to see Charlton play.
I was in London for the West Ham game(didnt go though). Glad I wasnt going after watching all the lads going getting wrapped at Kings Cross/ The Dolphin pub, then taken straight to the game whilst we were still drinking. Then I actually went into a clothes shop(Barbour) and tried as few jackets on, something I rarely get to do these days..
thats right mate, boat race as in drinking, too much like hard work doing that for real...ha ha.
Just bagged myself a couple of red hot chilli peppers tickets for November so well chuffed about that!!!! Need to get some new clobber myself to be honest. The pair of fellas that took the shootinh were both mad, infact I remeber the guy giving us the safety brief in a jokey, laid back manner (thing is he was the type that looked at the floor when talking to you......fucking hate that....) anyway, I distinctly remeber him then say:
" need to be serious for a second fellas, this is a range, its dangerous, fuck about and I WILL fucking iron you out, don't care how many of you there are......."
Funny as hell but...at the time..... I truly beleived him. Given half a chance he probably would. ha ha
Proper pair of characters, but spot on blokes, I half expected a pair of toff nosed nonces taking us for a shoot....so was a bit of a shock to be honest....
Used to enjoy shooting when I was in the Cadets, picked up Wing Marksmen on the No8/.22 Rifle on a camp down Brize Norton. Shot the L98 many times too, based on the SA80 mk2.
