Last few years I've given myself rules. A couple of years ago I could only buy items off a list (e.g. Two shirts, two Polo's etc) and this year I can only buy when the footie transfer window is open.
This is a big one though and not sure if I can do it but gonna give it a try. Wish me luck!
Edit: if anyone is selling an orange padded winter jacket 23-24 then let me know.
I'm not claiming it will be easy (or fun) but should make a healthy bank account. If I put the cash towards the mortgage it will be paid off years earlier. Makes sense if I can keep focusing on that although haven't told the wife yet just in case change my mind.
If you don't have any orange a/w for sale then any suggestions for what's available.... Not really a colour I've looked at tbh. I'm not really looking to pay over 200 max - thinking of a Paul Smith parka I saw somewhere or a RL I saw in TKs at the mo'.
Quote by GelseHow about swapping items Ed, is that still allowed?
Once again, good luck.
Thanks and yes, swaps are allowed but tbh I really don't like swapping. May have a winter Nordli up for grabs or if the Belstaff doesn't fit that I may swap that as opposed to posting it back to Germany.
Tempted as I am to keep going til midnight my shopping is over. A dozen items when I didn't really need anything is enough.
G - nothing written down but I have made it clear I said clothing and not accessories. Plus work clothing doesn't count - not sure whether I can convince her that includes outfits for any works do's
Oh, also allowed replacements if any damages or losses plus one item from 12th Man.
All the good stuff's gone now. Does this help? ; )
Seriously though, there are more important things in life than new clobber. Don't know you personally but if you're like most folk on here you'll have a ton of stuff already. Play around with that. There's probably loads you haven't worn for ages, or haven't worn with other pieces. In fact I should do that more myself instead of just reaching for the credit card!
Quote by Hugo A-Go-GoIf you want new clobber and you can afford it, go for it. If you can't, then don't.
I'm not a rich man but I can afford a few bits every now and then. It's more a principle of sticking to what I said now - probably harder as I can afford stuff.
