Quote by OFFHandAnd stay away from the seafront at night........
too right! the pier and seafront is whopper central of a night time..............the Lanes for the day time and find a funky little bar for the evening.
Dirty old river, must you keep rolling, Flowing into the night.......
The best shop is obviously peggs but have a good rummage through the vintage shops your find some gems. Best place to eat is riddle and finns in the lanes, little seafood resteraunt that cook the food in front of you. Best pub is the cricketers and afterwards head over to digital on the seafront.
Funnily enough I'm taking my girlfriend in 3 weeks time... Disco Deviant on the Friday with Horse Meat Disco, which is obviously going to be full of homosexuals on drugs. Still, can't beat HMD and I've yet to see Pablo Contraband after hearing good things so looking forward to it.
My good lady lives in Brighton so I'm down there quite a bit.
Shop wise, Peggs is your best bet. It's always worth a look around the lanes for bits and bobs though. There are quite a few good vintage shops down there if that's your bag.
Food wise, the best place I've found it Terre a Terre. It's vegetarian - but the food is phenomenal. I always come out of there with a huge grin on my face. There are plenty nice wee places around though. Being Brighton, there's a lot of food from around the world.
Pub wise - Brighton is properly spoiled for pubs. When you come out of the station, head straight for the Evening Star whigh is Darkstar Brewery's pub. They have all the Darkstars on tap, as well as a bloody good selection of other ales and craft beers from around the world. I recommend the American Pale Ale if that's your thing. Otherwise the Great Eastern, The Basketmaker's Arms, The Eagle, The Earth and Stars and The Heart and Hand are all worth a look in if you're sticking around central - but there are plenty others dotted around.
Quote by Mersons BookieI only know because of a story about my mate trying to hump part of the speaker whilst in a bit of a K episode
I've been left with ringing in my ears for days after being a clever cunt and sticking my head in one while wired, not the cleverest thing to do to be fair. Surprised Tinnitus hasn't developed.
I think I'm on my way, get terrible buzzing particularly at night. The old bassist from our band has been diagnosed with it, I'm not surprised thinking back to some of the speaker stacks he used to stand in front of. Mad bastard.
Still wouldn't catch me wearing cunty ear plugs in a club
mind yer deaf and dumb .. went Brighton years ago with Chelsea , had a fucking scream , just feels like when you are walking around you are trying to spot the straight people ..
Brighton's great mate the lanes are always worth a look and there are plenty of good places to eat and drink, I always think that its a bit like Camden Town but by the sea and with more gay people !
Also check out Hunted. Its small but normally has a good selection of bits and i know they had a lot of Our Legacy in stock when i walked past the other week.
