Needing to get back on site work as new baby and growing kids are costing more and more (plus there's a few bits I wouldn't mind). Haven't done site work for a few years now, it's all been private projects etc. Have over 15 years in the trade...what card do I need or can I get? I've been told the green, one but is that the basic one and will it limit me in some works that i'm allowed to do or price for? Thanks in advance
I've only got the yellow (visitor) card, I think green is for labourers, if you are responsible for anyone on site then you'll need the supervisors card. I'm not sure how it works for estimating, but there is definitely another separate one for managers and QS's. Sorry it's not much help! Could try asking local job centre or a recruitment agency
The green CSCS card is fine for groundworker, it doesnt cover dumper driver etc though you'd need a CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme)
I've got a copy of the Health & Safety Test book for the CSCS Card if you want it mate. Can't remember if you get a copy sent out when you book the test
