Exactly why I rent cars, all in,only got to put petrol in, long term lease, hand it back after 3 years.. you lose far too much money with cars today so this works for me.
Had to reduce to one car myself , trade insurance was 1800 quid on the renewal so picked up a little ford puma because the insurance was 400 quid, roobing fookers insurance companys, postcode lottery halfed my premium, and when i had a know fault accident they didnt want to know told me to sort it out myself , overpaid accountants the lot of them .

I imagaine depreciation on a new Renault is nearly £3k in the first year anyway
Misses has just bought a Mini Cooper S, I was dead against it until I drove it. They're fucking rapid and the supercharger makes a sublime sound. However, tax is high (just shy of £250 I think), fuel economy is poor, and it's insurance group 15!!!!
Exactly, you can rent most cars all inclusive just end up putting a deposit down, yeah Phil would never buy a brand new car again and if not worried about high value cars then this fits the bill. I personally not that bothered how much it would be worth after 3 years and will continue to rent with cars.
I can't afford to get on to the road, prices are mental for some who's learning/just passed. Be looking at aroun 5 grand for your first year on the road.
£25 quid a driving lesson, so maybe 20 of them, then your theory and then test it's self. Insurance on a 1.2 is about £1,500 a year, most likely more expensive than the car. Petrol, tax etc.
Have the tax coming up, plus a major service, plus a cam belt change and also rear discs.........cars are bloody expensive......oh and looks like the two front tyres will need changing too in months time.......think that takes the total to about 800-900 notes...... bloody joke really.
I need a cover for the back rest on my drivers seat ( worn thro to the foam ) so went to toyota in leeds and was quoted £485 !!!!! just for the cover the robbing ****S !!!!!!! Anyway checked ebay last night and got a full seat for £39.50 , just need to collect it from Rotherham . ( and get our kid to fit it FREE of course )
Have a driving license for about 9 months now, but I'm not going to be a car owner for the next 2 years at least (student ATM). Hopefully even longer if I can cycle to work instead of driving. I'm not 100% sure but I think petrol is even more expensive here than in the UK, absolutely ridiculous.
Just paid £400 recently to get mine through its MOT,another £118 for 6 months tax and last week the brake pipe burst,no mention at the MOT about a problem with the brake pipes and then the cost of petrol on top of that
I,m thinking of investing in a horse give it a bit of hay and Hi Ho Silver Away
This is why I cant even be fucked learning.. Lessons, Liscense, Car, MOT, Insurance, Tax... living in a city, I can get about for £1.50 on a bus! And anywhere I go further away there's normally someone driving. That said, it's obviously something once you've learnt, it's with you forever, so in a way I also regret not learning younger.
Someone I know just got insured for 3.5k, at 17. Its a joke. To think they will also put in £20-£40 a week petrol just travelling to college and nipping to the shops etc.
