always found Chubby to be tooooooooooo crass , yes he's funny , and near the knuckle humour has made him , but prefer the people who were naturally funny - Ronnie Corbett makes me larf just looking at him , him and Ronnie Barker .. great comedians ...
Billy Connolly & Jasper Carrot from past, Steve Coogan, nowadays there are a few, Think the Canadian guy who just delivers one liners all the way through is set is clever.
for me, always loved Mike Reid. Loved his quickfire delivery in the cockney accent. And the faces he pulled, etc....
Now, the one that springs to mind is Chris Rock. Not too often an american can make me laugh like a brit comedian mainly because a lot of the material is US specific but he does.
not a comedian as such but mick hucksby on Talksport always makes me laugh. Think him and Andy Jacobs do a great daily show and always has a few hearty laughs in it.
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
Old school - Tommy Cooper, Morecombe & Wise, Two Ronnies, Frank Carson, Les Dawson
Recent - Rhod Gilbert, Peter Kay (agree with Ross, he's too OTT on chat shows), Sean Locke and Billy Connolly (never liked his early stuff, but his recent stuff is loads better)
Tommy Cooper, Les Dawson, Frank Carson plus Bernard Manning. I was lucky enough to go to Manning's Embassy Club in Manchester, superb night. Can't remember where exactly it was in Manchester.
Most comedians make me angry rather than make me laugh. Lee Evans is like a childrens party entertainer.
Like the exact same stuff as Whitey but it has to be earlier Frankie Boyle he's just going all out for shock factor recently. Kevin Bridges is my favourite at the moment.
