Anybody doing it?

My brothers and uncles do it spend a fortune on it, I do it from time to time use their rods but I get scared when I get handed a £800 rod and that's not coutning the reel or line ect.

Haha. I can imagine. I´ve got a §150 "kit" and it works fine. I´m not an expert, never will be either. Just like to do something without thinking. Recreation, I think its called.

I'd love to get into it more we go away to Loch Awe each year and have a fishing holiday but turns into a week of getting drunk and a small bit of fishing on the side.

i go now and again mate, normally have a half day ticket, fish 2-3 hours then go to a nice boozer for a couple of pint s and and some lunch..

I'll be going out tomorrow, try to get the last trout out of the water.
