Not sure if this made the news in the UK , but day before we left Cape Town English tourist had his legs bitten off by a Great White ..
It happened on a beach where we went two days previously , Fish Hoek beech , and when we went we were advised not to swim as the many spotters they have scattered along there had seen Great Whites .
They usually issue a warning , which goes out on local radio and tv , and on the beech they'll fly a flag warning people not to swim there ..
This guy totally ignored all warnings and was lucky to survive ..

Aye it was on the news yesterday whatever possessed the bloke to go swimming when there was warning flags is beyound me

What's pissed off the locals is the shark will now have a taste / like for human blood / flesh and will trawl this area again for a feed ...

it seems bizzare to ignore a warning like that.

the have shown images of a shark on the news and its almost like suggestive journalism.

shark near beach so it must be the one that did it.
