I read somewhere that the tsunami defence wall that they had at one place was something like 10 meters tall, but when the earthquake hit it dropped by a meter due to land movements and ultimately cost thousands of people their life's.
Not that it makes it any better, but imagine if it was a night time and pitch black...
just noticed... at about 1 minutes after the beginning, in the car in front, the driver gets out of his/her car, then comes back to close the door... Nippon politeness I suppose!?!
