went to one of those evening/guest speaker things with merson last year and he was putting away pints like no tomorrow, must have supped 20 pint easily. Tuned into soccer saturday the next morning and there he was looking fresh as a daisy! Hes either got a body double or hes been on the sauce for too long.
i like merson on ssn and think he does a great job. However i hope they throw the book at him. I lost an uncle to a drunk driver and no other family should have to go through that thanks to one idiots actions he should think himself lucky he could walk away

I'm struggling to get my head around how anyone finds him a good football pundit? Entertaining yes, in what he says is utter shit, cringeworthy at times and laughable, but even his fellow pundits know that he talks absolute rubbish most of the time. One of his finest moments was describing Walcott as better than Giggs.
