Quote by SpenceDavies would do a good job. O'Neil has no idea about this league.
Did'nt they go up via the play offs under o'neil?
I meant within the last 10 or so years. It's changed a lot since the 90s.
Means nothing in my opinion. Micky Adams, Ian Dowie and Aidy Boothroyd all had experience of taking championship clubs into the premiership. None of them could do it at Coventry. Paul Lambert at Norwich never managed in the championship until they went straight through the league and are now playing in the prem. Sam Allardyce had'nt been in the championship for 10 years yet west ham sit 2nd.
Quote by SpenceProbably more to do with the fact our squad is shit.
What? Paul Lambert is managing in the prem because coventry's sqaud is shit? West ham are 2nd in the championship because coventry's sqaud is shit? Are any of the players who played under Adams/ dowie still at coventry? There is every chance O'neil would get leicester out of the championship. I think if they had of given sven the time, he would of done it.
No I was stating that our squad over the last 5-10 years has been shit and that any manager we get in won't get us promoted (well is extremely unlikely anyway). Lambert was riding the crest of promotion from League 1 and had confidence flowing through the squad. He also like Southampton do now have a striker that scored a hell of a lot of goals. I don't believe Leicester have one of those at the minute, it certainly doesn't look like it anyway. Leicester's squad is good don't get me wrong but I think they'd do a better job if they got Davies in rather than getting O'Neil in. Fair play though if O'Neil comes in and gets them promoted, just think it's more likely with Davies.
