Spain have been poor in a few friendlies the last few years but have a knack of stepping it up at the tournaments. The opposite of England.
Fair play to England, contained Spain fairly easily I thought.
Was a good result mate and out of the blue that one, refuse to get my hopes up with them anymore though, for the same reason you've just said, but I was impressed with us at times, Spain looked poor I thought, was expecting a hell of a lot more.

Fair fucking play to England - did what they do best - rolled up the sleeves and worked hard. A lot to be said for it in any walk of life. As for Spain, wouldn't write them off on the back of this. Still the team to beat at next years Euros alongside Ireland, of course! Holland and Germany have two excellent teams and will provide the winners of next years tournament imo. Holland have only lost twice in about two years and one of those games was the world cup final.
Didnt see the game but it was a midseason friendly and if we met spain in a competition they would steamroller us imo ....but a win is a win and it always feels good ,
strange england did that without gerrard, ferdinand , rooney and Terry something tells me theyll be all back in the team shortly! In typical Capello fashion picks players on names not form
Missed the game but Fuckin delighted for lamps. CHelsea legend who's been on the wrong end of boo boys and scapegoat for numerous England failures yet conducted himself with immense dignity and respect.
