The most naturally gifted and skillfull player this country has ever produced. Wonder if things would have turned out differently if he'd signed for fergie when he had the chance?

You'd like to think so wouldn't you but I'm not so sure. His talent is/was criminally underrated IMO. A proper football genius.
this is one of my favorite goals of his, remember watching it on channel 4 as a kid and almost couldnt believe an english player could be this skillfull.
Yeah I remember that one vividly. Not forgetting that was after his terrible knee injury. When you see the earlier Newcastle and Spurs clips of Gazza his quick feet were amazing.

am newcastle but he was at his peak at spurs..... hate to say it but he will be back on the drink drugs i know the crowd he knocks about with and its there lifestyle
I remember when he played for Lazio , went past virtually the whole team and scored ... one of the best players ever to be lucky enough to pull on an England jersey ...
Gazza... What a player. Probably could have been even better under ferguson but his list of footballing achievements as it stands can't be sniffed at.
On a personal level though I always thought he was such a lonely character, so funny but so hyperactive that he would grate on all but the sort of twats who he hung around with. Look up his safari trip highlights on YouTube, next level.
