It's a shame their music is shite.
it's a funny/interesting argument tho this music/fashion relationship. i think one can defiantly compliment the other within this context. You can't deny that Oasis looked the part when they came out, and i agree with Ryan on the 1960s mod thing cos all those bands around at the time inc. The Who and the Stones etc looked class, very sharp, but IMO it's the past that has given off this prestige. If i saw a band dressed like that now i'd probably be quick to criticize. The same feeling i get looking at the Twang wearing modern labels, can't help but find it all a bit cringe. I just see it as a gimmick to get more lads into their music because they represent a section of society that certain people want to feel attached to? I suppose you do see this across all social groups tho. Emo's being a massive obvious example.
I've always found it more interesting when bands play around with this image/music relationship...
That said...
The Stones look fucking class here. One of my favorite tunes too.
haha Chris Duckenfield Altern 8, Just finished practise and fuck me its hard going :) rumbled, Personally the Twang are lads and they did attract lads, used to goto alot of their gigs and chat with them years ago but slowly they have attracted a certain section who clearly trying to be part of their scene when clearly they are not, It just shows the power of image with music association. I not sure who nowadays is the best dressed band or if there even is one. Nobody stands out for me as music tends to be as bad as fashion nowadays.
