Also, blades have been used plenty here in Britain at football matches over the years and if back in the 70s foreign away fans were mobbed up here they would have gotten pasted but very few came. And lets not forget the bullying English fans have done abroad over the years. Many liberties taken.

No mate, not my style. Never ever understood this type of thing... What is it all about? It's always struck me as immature and insecure to be honest but i've never been a violent person.
Have heard a few rumours only one I know is concrete is that there was scuffling in Sorrento and a mate of a mate ended up in hospital. Only 800 fans travelled for this.
every time an English team goes to Italy these stories come out. Unless it's on the news, or someone from a forum actually gets attacked I am always suspicious of the rumours!

I love english football and footie culture but its a bit saying that these things mainly happen to english fans.
Englishmen has a unique way of behaving abroad, kinda like they are still a colonizing superpower and rules everyone. Alot of locals are disgrunteled by this and some return the favour in a less than ok manner.
My parents got an appartment in southern Spain in a small town and every summer when there is scuffles its always involving english boys and 99% of the time its their own fault unfortunately.
I don't condone stabbings or muggings either at football or just around town but there is a patern
They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.
