I didn't get too carried away after the last test, even though England were brilliant, because I've always thought that they are still capable of hideous collapses. Fair play to the convicts for fighting back.
What a performance by England on day one at the MCG! How weird are the Aussie cricket 'fans'? 80,000+ of them turn up and at the start of the day the MCG is nearly full and rocking. Two hours before the end of play there is about 10,000 left in the stadium watching Cook & Strauss knock the leather of the ball. They all went home in a huff

Ranting at both on-field umpires and Pieterson over a 3rd umpire (correct) decision. What a prize cock! Then the icing on the cake was Prior getting recalled after a referred no-ball decision.
Just seen Punter on Sky being interviewed by Mark Taylor and he apologised unreservedly for his questioning of the umpires but when asked about the actual decision he still seems to think Australia were done by a wrong decision. Is he fucking blind? The 'hot spot' was on the bottom of the bat, probably as a result of the bat hitting the pad, and the ball passed the bat a third of the way up the bat. Even snicko didn't register a noise. Great player but an absolute cunt of a man.

Great but we need to win in Sydney to WIN the Ashes and make the Aussies suffer. Punter just said to Atherton in an on-field interview that the two teams are evenly matched.
