Yesterday, Lyon qualified for the last sixteen in the Champions league as a result of a 1-7 win in Zagreb, resulting in the elimination of Ajax, who suffered a 0-3 defeat in Amsterdam, where the referee also incorrectly called 2 Ajax goals as offside in the first half when it was still 0-1, and generally put up an embarrassing performance over the entire evening. (Before the matches were played, Ajax had a 3 point and 7 goal advantage.)
However, the 1-7 win has made the alarm bells go off with French Authorities, as some goals were suspicious to say the least. Also, a wink from a defender to a Lyon striker right after a very dubious goal, combined with that very same defender having been spotted at the bookies, has been reason enough to investigate the strange scoreline.
Also, their manager has been sacked as a result of the 1-7 beating, so that might've been a motive by the players as well.
I am certainly ready to jump on the "dodgy French gits" bandwagon! I couldn't believe it when I saw that scoreline, something underhand must have gone on!

Especially when you consider Ajax had two legit goals ruled out for offside, then Real Madrid had an offside goal which was allowed to stand. Too much of a coincidence.
