That was an incredible game. English football has its critics, often rightly so, and often from within, but when you see a game like that there is very little to touch it. Leaving aside Foy who had yet another shocker, and Tyldsely who is a cunt, United were imperious after the first ten minutes when they soaked up everything City had to throw at them. And anyone who's righting them off in the first week of January is an idiot. It's engrained in the dna of MUFC not to panic, not to cave and they are like a bad fucking smell, they refuse to go away and more power to them. City also deserve great credit. To be 3 goals down and a man down to Man U of all teams and summon up a second half effort like that, well, I don't care how many millions have been spent, I tip my hat to them. That heart and spirit will stand them in good stead for the rest of the season. As a footnote - Samir Nasri, what a disgrace. City weren't playing with ten men, they were playing with nine plus that little shit.
The Fa Cup needed a game like this - hopefully the momentum of this game will carry into the next few rounds and we have a great cup competition.
No doubt the red card was a big factor but don't forget United went 1-up when city had eleven on the pitch. Thought United were dreadful in the 2nd half and instead of trying to run the clock down with pedestrian passing they should have gone for another goal to proper kill them off. It doesn't help having two midfielders on with a combined age of 75!

I didn't realise this was Osti.
Terrible Refereeing all round tbh.
I'll review the sending off at a later point but the number of jiggly fouls that weren't picked up on and what should have been a pen to united makes me think Foy funcked up again.
Good game to watch from a neutral perspective, as said in previous posts ruined by the early sending off of Kompany, a decision swayed imo by Rooney once again getting in the Ref's face. Thought City missed the two Toure brother's out on their African jolly today, noticed Fergie cleverly avoided signing any player's from that continent as it tends to interfere with the smooth running of the club. Fair play to the red side of Manchester, maybe it's their only shout of a trophy this season, but they have to get through the next round yet, they may get unlucky and meet the mighty West Brom.
