'Patch details'?? If you mean on the shoulder's I barely noticed them. [edited to add: Just noticed the elbow patch detail too. Again, hadn't really noticed them]
It's not my current bag, bit too technical looking, but if you want a very well made technical looking jacket, that no-one else is likely to be wearing then go for it. I wouldn't let the shoulder detail put you off, if that indeed is what you were referring to.
