Not one for the Musos but should be a good night out, trying for tickets for brum & Manchester , saw them a few times back in The day & never really disappointed
Never understood the Mondays at all. I guess if you were there pilled off your face its bit more understandable but they seem to have been taken up as a cause celebre by legions of pseudo-lads in their teens and twenties.
Their gigs were great back in the late 80s but not because of their musical prowess. I think I'm a bit old now though. Shaun Ryder and the rest are too old as well but they'll be getting well paid so I don't blame them for trying it.
Quote by To be someoneFew people I know have seen them a few years back said they were shit.
Doesn't really matter though, have they ever been any 'good'? - they're the best shit band in the world. (I know what I mean if nobody else does)
Know exactly what you mean. Saw them at the G-Mex in 1990 which was made into a DVD. Watching it back it looks shit but it was one of the best nights I have ever had. Took a coach load to Manchester and had a blast. Wouldn't be the same now though.
Heard he was non too well at the Sheffield gig. Got postponed after that for a month until he sorted himself out, and then came up to Newcastle and did a full set and was canny good. I mean he cant sing, his backing lot carried him through it, but i enjoyed it. Shall be having a punt tomorrow at 10am for Newcastle academy
