When I did my English O level, I had nt studied any of the syllabus, as my Mum(fuck knows why?) decided I should take it as well as my CSE. One of the questions was read a paragraph and liken it to a book you had read. I just made up a book title and author, and most of the exam was totally over my head, I even used a lot of swear words in my answers, fuck knows what I was thinking...
in my politics one in 89 the question was 'is there such a thing as thatcherism?' my answer was something like, if theres someone called thatcher and people follow her ideas and beliefs and those ideas and beliefs could be defined as being of thatcher then yes there is such a thing as thatcherism.'
At school I did Higher Drama (for the birds OBV!). I didn't bother studying anything for the exam as I wasn't bothered and didn't really need the grade.
In the exam one of the questions was something like "Discuss a play with a strong female character with reference to quotes/passages from the play."
I made up a play to fit the answaer. Something like "little known local play 'The Strong Lady' is an example of a play ith a strong female character..." And went on to make up loads of quotes etc.
I got a fucking A! Couldn't believe it. Honest too.
