I know there are many DJ/tech/software savvy people on here and I am a novice who would like to start learning how to DJ/make my own electronic music/mixes/etc.
What is a good beginner set up?

Ableton Live, a mac and some decent speakers/headphone. You'll also need a decent midi controller if you want to mix/produce tunes more easily.
