Couldn't and wouldn't condone the booing, but I think most LFC supporters would realise that it was a minority. I couldn't go at the last minute, so didn't see who was responsible, but I'd like to think that fans of my generation or older weren't involved.
As for Chelsea fans getting twatted at Wembley, are you fucking serious. Its 2013 mate, not 1989 (and even then you might find you'd struggle). Every Chelsea Liverpool game I've been to there are that usual murderer chants and I've yet to be on the end of a revenge attack at either ground. Oh and i was pointing out the fact that they sing it, I wasn't implying that i am involved. And to be fair to the lad who said it is sung about Heysell, thats not true, it is in reference to Hillsborough as they sing an equally tasteless 'you killed your own fans'.

I seen a quote that made me laugh on another forum. David Moyes - Liverpool's best manager.

OK, it was a minority, but a pretty significant one. From what I've seen/heard, it sounds as though the numbers chanting murderers were easily in the hundreds, maybe even a couple of thousand? It was appalling, by far the worst example of this I can remember in recent years. I appreciate you coming on here and condemning it, but look at what your mate "RamseesCFC" and others have had to say... making excuses, the old "professional mourners" cliche, bringing up Heysel, even blaming Hilsborough on "pissed up Pool fans" etc. It may have been a minority of Chelsea supporters that disgraced themselves at Wembley, but I wonder how many sympathise with this view? I cringe whenever I see the usual suspects glorifying football violence on here but you're naive if you think there won't be any trouble at Anfield/Wembley. Which is a shame because this isn't about football rivalry. It's about 96 people who lost their lives through no fault of their own, simply doing something which we all love doing: watching their team play football.

United have sung many horrible songs about Hillsborough, no one is denying that (a couple of decades of Liverpool fans celebrating the Munich tragedy made that inevitable), but the 'Murderers' chant is aimed at Heysel and how the club and Liverpool fans tried to say they weren't at fault etc etc.
Let's be honest here. Singing songs about death is tasteless and crass no matter who does it but Liverpool fans need to get off their high horses. If the Hillsborough tragedy had not happened you would still be making your "Munich 58" banners (there was one at Heysel funnily enough) and singing your Munich songs in public instead of singing them in pubs and on coaches away from the public.

Get off our high horses???? We are fuking fighting for Justice for 96 fans who went to a football game and never returned back home.
Would you get off your "high horse" if you lost a brother, father, cousin, uncle? Would you get off your "high horse" if you had been lied to for 23 years? Would you get off your "high horse" if you hear people on a day to day basis saying things like "forget about it" "stop going on about it" if you lost family members that day?

Can you not read? They were observations as to why people do this - not excuses. It's never an excuse. I don't condone it. I would never do it. EVER. It brought embarrassment and shame on the club. That clear enough for ya? Blaming pissed up Pool fans? Again, get your facts straight you fool. I said there's a school of thought that believes that. If you think that's not the case, then ask Atwinny about some of the posts on Hillsborough he gets on Osti. For the record, not that I need to explain myself to you, but I support the Hillsborough campaign, have signed petitions online and believe the families will get their justice eventually. You'd maybe prefer if that wasn't the case but sorry to dissapoint you.
Heysel - I mentioned Heysel same as Glasgow, Bradford, Hillsborough, etc....all games were lads lost their lives going to football. Is that a problem? If so, how come? If not, then what's your point? Glorifying football violence? Are you for real???? You've threatened people getting twatted around Wembley and now you're cringing about this stuff? fuck me, are you a crazy mixed up kid or what. Make your mind up.
"Absolutely Scum the lot of them" - Did you expect me to sit back and take this just because the thread is Hillsborough related? You lump us all together because a few idiots, which all clubs have, broke the silence. Well, fuck me, if the actions of some render the whole club classless cunts, where does that leave Liverpool then?

To be fair to RamseesCFC, some of the stuff he has said in the past in regards to the Justice Campaign has been spot on. One of only a few on the other forum who has shown continued support.
Thanks Andy, appreciate the honesty. Just to add, one of our Profs here is on the Hillsborough panel - Phil Scraton? Seems a sound bloke. He's gonna keep me posted on the case as well.

He was the author of Hillsborough - The Truth if I remember correctly.
Didn't he used to work in Edge Hill Uni? Thats down the road from mine.
If you're supportive of the campaign then fair enough, but I think you've phrased some of your posts badly here. I think we're both getting a bit wound up now so let's leave it at that shall we?
ps. I'm glad they won't let me on the Osti forum, it sounds grim.

Its not as good as on here in my opinion. I've just realised that you post on RAOTL too.

that's him he's working flat out on the case, mate. He's been given special dispensions from a couple of things here recently as he's working 24/7 on research, etc.... Think he said he's the whole of May off to work on it flat out so fingers crossed.

Probably a hasty reaction of mine to being labled scum and classless cunts I think you've phrased some of yours shockingly too to be fair. But agreed, lets leave it at that. Both of us condemn booing a minutes silence so....
Osti is fine. But I think it's fair to say there's a lot more vocal anti-Liverpool feeling on it and less Hillsborough sympathy - for whatever reasons. as I said, Andy has repeatedly fought to educate in a constructive manner on it as people throw statements about like facts when they clearly aren't as they haven't read the report or kept abreast of the whole case.

I fully support the Hillsborough campaign for justice but that has 'nowt to do with singing sick songs at football matches, who incidentally yourselves and Leeds fans wrote the book on how to celebrate football-related tragedies.

What justice do you lot want ? This is not a wind up question i would like to know the answer , i have asked many liverpool fans this question but none of them seem to know the answer. Also please dont post a link for me to read ,i just want a clear answer ,because it seems a lot of people that claim to want justice for the 96 dont even know what justice they want
Justice for what happened on the day. For the truth to come out about what happened. For how it was covered up. Also why they said the cut off point was 3:15 when people like Anne Williams know her son was alive after that. Why was there only 1 ambulance allowed into the ground. Why the CCTV of gate C was lost Why Duckenfield was in charge of such a high profile game with no previous experience. It goes on! The families have been lied for , for 23 years. It's far to long and is about time the truth came out. Hopefully the release of the files will help this but we've still got a long way to go in the fight. We'll get there one day
I know you said not to add links but it's honestly the best way to get it all across. Hope For Hillsborough, The HJC (Hillsborough Justice Campaign) are two of many good websites Also the book mentioned in a few quotes above is a good source for why we want Justice.
Justice would be the appropriate punishment of those held as negligent by the Taylor report and any subsequent evidence that appears from the imminent release of the Hillsborough files, specifically the senior officers that forced junior officers statements post-disaster to be changed should face sanction. And those officers in the control room who lost the CCTV covering gate C, should be brought to task.
One point, I think I'm correct that Alex Ferguson was the first to call Kenny Dagliesh after the disaster and offer condolences, that is class. As is the official Chelsea response to yesterday's idiocy by a minority.
