Used to go to Amalfi Coast for holidays Steve. Not been over for over 10 years. August is most expensive month to visit as all the Ities holiday in August.
Have stayed in Sorrento, Amalfi and Capri. Capri is the business but expensive mate.
im also going for a wedding at the start of august, dont know too much about it just yet. all i know at the minute is that its fairly near mt Vesuvius so ill probably go and see that.
Sorrento is fantastic!!!! have been 2 years on the trot! a great base for exploring the Almalfi Coast all the boat trips leave from Sorrento Harbour.
do the boat trip to Procida and Ischea! Go to Naples for the day! Almalfi is a must and while your there go up to Ravello and see the Villa Rufulo.....the most beautiful place I have ever been.
Positano is lovely. Capri is ok but we found it a bit on the snooty side and fucking expensive! any tips on restaurants etc just pm me.
we stayed here....lovely apartment...right in the centre of Sorrento....10 mins to the Marina's cracking little bar downstairs....the owner loves football and Brits!
