It can be sent either 1st class recorded or SD at the buyers expense..........lost a parcel the other week and have refunded the buyer so im out of pocket until im hopefully reimbursed by RM but from now on let it be know if anything ive sent goes missing then ill supply all the relevant details like receipt,,tracking number,,etc etc but i aint giving a refund until the RM claim is sorted......now this is all very unlikely to happen but im just letting it be known.....your better off with SD i reckon but that will be at the buyers expense...cheers.

you probably already know but I think the most you will get back is 41 quid for 1st class if you are successful with your claim.
good luck with the claim I am lucky i've never had to do one but I imagine it would be a nightmare and take a long time.
Quote by STEVECFCmade my feelings clear on your other thread ... I send something , i'll record deliver it , I wont refund - not till at least I've been refunded ...
would you apply the same stance to buying from a shop? ie, if your package doesn't arrive will you be happy to wait until the shop resolves its issue with the carrier, or would you want a refund immediately?
How so, in terms of what's mentioned above? Size sent me some shoes out which never showed up. They sent me new shoes while their case with Royal mail is ongoing. As I'd expect.

yes you would expect refund or replacemt goods from a shop. they have insurance for this kind of thing.
a person selling something doesn;t have insurance and if the buyer doesn;t either pay or ask for insured postage then the buyer must also take some of the risk IMO.
If something is expensive I always post it out special delivery just in case.
if soemthing that sells for 20 or 30 quid that I send out 1st clasever goes missing then I would not expect to refund money to the buyer out my own pocket. If the money got refunded to me from ther PO then I would refund it to the buyer.
because shops / stores have the finance where 1 item doesn't matter at all ... a £200 coat say , between members means hell of a lot more finacially ... not difficult really is it ...
Stecfc, why do you feel the need to patronise me in your response? If i spent £200 on a coat and the fella I bought it off did as you are advocating I'd be annoyed. The £200 which the seller can't afford to lose, is presumably as important to the buyer. I know who to avoid buying off anyway
I wouldn't sell you the steam off my shit you muppet , I'm not patronising you , but why ask such a stupid fucking question .. it's blatantly obvious the difference between shops with their finacial might , and forum members ... and if you actually read Clydes initial thread , and my response in this one , you could piece together what I'm saying ..
very adult. aggressive and humorless - are you in the army? i asked a reasonable question and you just can't help it. as for flogging me stuff, yours would all be too big for me, slim

Its quite rare that i see a post of yours that isnt an attempt at some sort of sarcasm....soon as someone tells you to reign it in your toys are out the pram....classic......if youve nowt genuinely constructive to add why not just keep your opinions to yourself........ill await your suitably witty retort.....
there's a difference between a bit of sarcasm and his response to me. fuck the snide beaut. as for this thread, how was my initial response to your post not constructive?

Its not constructive to me.....your questioning me......my op wasnt posted to open up a discussion...i never invited questions on the matter......if you dont agree with the way im looking to do things thats fine...dont buy from me.......but dont give me the third degree either because i dont need to explain myself.
im not giving you the third degree, i asked a question. you posted a thread on a forum. i'd say it's accepted there will be follow ups. sorry, didn't realise you only wanted people to agree with you. my misunderstanding
