Surely the whole not paying clubs for players you've bought from them thing and effectively using tax loopholes to gain an advantage over other teams, in turn forcing them to spend more to keep up, is detrimental to other clubs too?
Quote by HMSReadingSurely without the revenue generated by the Rangers travelling support and loss of Sky tv money it would be detrimental to all the other SPL clubs
Why would it? Rangers & Celtic took the bulk of the Sky cash - it wasn't ever distrubuted evenly between the SPL clubs. The cost of extra policing & cleaning the piss & puke stench from our city after their visits would far outweigh what we would gain in extra revenue from a few Glaswegians attending an away match at Pittodrie.
I think your forgetting that in the early 80's Rangers were playing in front of crowds of 5000 at Ibrox - infact i seem to remember one paricular game against Thistle that there was only 2500 - hardly the Loyal following & saviour of Scottish football eh?

Quote by Wxm1872How would Celtic be admitted into the championship?
The OF were very close to closing a deal to enter the Championship a couple of season back. The Championship actually refused them entry but did indicate that they would consider one but not both in any given season. There was all sorts of forfiets to their inclusion. One being that even if they won the Championship in their first season they would forego promotion. Also if they qualified for European football they could not be included in it.
I see no better time for Celtic to go, especially if the Huns shut up shop.
