this must be some kind of virus it started out like a regular cold and sore throat went away for a couple of days then came raging back.
the doctor told me today the sore throat was actually tonsilitis which I didn't appreciate at the time.
worst bit for me is that i'm not got any sleep.
I reckon i'll be sent down to the sofa tonight as I was moaning like mad last night and it didn't go down well.
all the tubes are joined up so the hearing, balance thing is pretty likely.
was yours viral or bacterial ? I think this has started out as viral but if it all gets blcoekd up it changes to bacterial then its anti biotics...
I went to the Dentist as thought it was a tooth issue but he gave me antibiotics so am guessing bacterial from what you've written.
I'm still suffering now - far worse than then tbh. Rarely get any peace from the constant tinnitus and balance frequently off .

going off on a slight tangent my wife had a similar virus to mine a couple of weeks ago but with her it was ear ache which resulted in a burst ear drum. She is fine now. I think these things just attack which ever is the weakest point.

I used to get this regularly, I was told I had chronic sinusitus. It was a fucking nightmare. After several visits to the docs and several courses of antibiotics (which worked, but it always came back with a vengeance), I was given a steroid spray called 'Beconase nasal spray'. I have been using this for almost two years now - a couple of squirts up each nostril every morning and night. I have had no major issues with it since.

Yeah, it did take a fair few regular visits (about 2 months apart) over the space of a year before I was given this stuff. I hope it clears up for you anyway man, really is a nightmare having it.
Bowl of hot water and a towel , works wonders , if youve got something menthol put a drop of that in works wonders . Put some Olive oil in your ears also and the good old Vics on yer chest for bed and CARVOL capsules on your pillowcases work well also. Used to work with ENT as a angelic Nursey.(with a dirty face) not nice to have its blocked sinus tubes , hence all the symptoms of Ear Nose and throat.
