exchange for notes? or to use card abroad?
i usually just get actual currency but might just use my card abroad this year? pros/cons

Normally your charged for each transaction and the exchange rate doesnt seem to be great either, check out travelfx online if your going for currency cheapest about

Just got the cash myself from the post office, my mate went mad last year on his card so am a little bit wary of just taking plastic.

you can get cards from the Post office that you can pre load money on to


basically like gettin cash, but not in paper form

its a master card so has all the benefits and protection

^^ My mate had one of them, it wasn't much better than just using a debit card IIRC.

booked our holiday through Tompson , got one of those pre-paid cards , gave us a really good rate - plus they are insured against ...

I always just use my card abroad. There is usually a fee but it is usually about the price of a pint so no big deal. It beats leaving a 1000 Eu in a safe in your room.

not got cash for years now always just use my cards.

Depends where you're going, but you'll be fine on your whore tour with cards

Just remember the little fella selling bags of washing powder on the bridge won't take plastic

I always take as much as i reckon ill need in cash, then draw out any extra if needed....which it usually is !!
