Most of the time, these type of shows are imo too abstract, but this one is really nice. At least it means something and shows culture and heritage of the hosting country.
Thought HRH could have smiled , i know it was a bit late but ...................... many members of the public put a lot of effort into that , and she ( from what i saw didnt even smile !! ) . Loosen up a bit love !!
You often hear smug cunts asking 'what does it mean to be British' ((in a condescending way) but they never ask anyone what it means to be French, Belgian, Thai, Sudanese etc etc) so the next time one of those dildos asks you that question tell the idiot to watch this opening ceremony and then to get back to you.

Considering most of the performers were unpaid volunteers I think £27 million for the opening ceremony was a little on the high side. At least it kept everyone's attention away from the 50 Critical Mass demonstrators being arrested by the old bill in Stratford High Street !

Agreed, all this pushing beds round for 15 minutes. Wank. Should have just got Weller, The Who, Stones etc. to play a 2 hour gig instead.
