This won't make me popular, but it's got to be said.
With the members of this board having such a strong focus on fashion and design, why does this board look like Jensen Button's overalls? There are so many random images, adverts, signatures and smiley faces it looks like a geocities Blink182 fan page circa 1996. Can we not tone it down a bit?
I think it's ugly as hell but don't know how to design this sort of stuff so I'm not complaining. In fact, styleforum, fuk, Greenwich barber are all pretty minging, at least the colours here are toned down.
First off all don't go comparing us to any other board especially TGB, ugly a hell well funny how we are probably the best board and got the best set of mature lads anywhere and have been going strong for last 2 years. The board is like this because we have never followed anybody in t terms of how it looks. I respect your opinion and I will have the post adverts removed but the main adverts don't pose no problems. Expand a little on how you would like it to be. All bright and pretty like every other shit forum out there. We have people on here who appreciate the tone and maturity of OH. That's the reason it's like it is. Trust plenty have come with under 20 posts and said it's a bit shit layout but then come round to it and actually find it quite a refreshing change.. No mate people may be offended by what your saying but you know what we need members like you unless there is some hidden agenda. Any other questions which might cause a stir then feel C free to pm me.
I tell you what Mr James C just for you I will remove the thank you and nice one buttons, get rid of the convertor for currency. Clean up the flashing adverts and whatever makes it look a little better. You have caught me at a very bad time my man unfortunately as I might have been more tolerant to your question after reading back my previous post
Just out of interest are you basing you're gripe on the fact that you browse the site on your shiny new smart phone? As of yet we are not mobile optimised, this it's something I am working including having or very own personal app.
i'm not hugely arsed either way but i think black text on white screen/paper is easier to read. kuriosoranj's avatar pic makes me want to smash things though - and i like mark e smith

Let's all have a look at your board shall we! Not a great way to start off as a new member comparing the board outlay to blink 182 1996! Cheeky fucker a lot of work has gone into making the forum what it is by a lot of members......... I certainly don't think we will change it to please you sir......... Sorry to be blunt but if you don't like what you see then jog on.....

I realise I'm being a cheeky fucker with only a few posts, and the colours are fine, it's just that there's so much going on wherever you look on the page. Things I can spot on this page right now: google+ buttons, google adverts between posts, 3 banner adverts, a currency converter, ebay search bar, amazon search bar, donate button.
Compare it to your own tumblr page (http://offhandclothing.tumblr.com/)- understated, bit of white space, it's like leafing through a quality magazine. This is more like a King's Cross phone box.
Listen your opinion is noted my man and thanks for the input, the blog is a different layout simple as it works which does not necessarily mean it works on a forum. Yeah the adverts can be annoying and the post adverts will be gone soon. With reference to the odd + buttons these to bring the site up in google rankings which help from a marketing point of view. The search functions are personalised for the board so if you searched on google for say Monitaly it gives us unique results based on what we have all looked for if that makes sense. I'm sure over time you will see past the niggles and probably be a sound member which it's cool.one thing about this board is we take comments and listen to the members. It's a mature board perhaps something you may not be used to, I'm not sure and thanks for the input already it makes me look into things and other ways of the board progression and direction.
