Does anyone have any experience of returning things on ebay? I bought an item which arrived with some pretty noticeable damage and after opening a case was told to return it via recorded delivery. This cost £7.55, not a great sum but I hardly feel I should pay to return an item which was damaged on arrival. I've contacted the seller but have a feeling he'll tell me he's under no obligation to repay my postage - is this the case? the resolution center doesn't clarify anything other than that I'll receive the initial cost of the product and shipping.
i dont think they're obliged to pay postage (not under distance selling regs anyway) but i've had them pay it in the past when i started on about feedback. if the value's under £50 (i think) its cheaper to send it first class recorded

Bollocks that's what I thought. The value was around £70 so I just missed out on that, plus ebay demanded a tracking number.

Really? I went with what the guy behind the desk said was cheapest. Having said that Peckham Post Office is like a care in the community project so who knows what I've paid for.
