thats the thing for me i think i was expecting that sort of intensity am chilled into it now and the stories a lot more complex then the sopranos
Brilliant show. This series was superb, especially the last 2 episodes. Gyp Rosetti was a great character an I love Roth stein too. Hope steve graham gets more time in series 4. "I need a bath, some chow and then we'll sit down and talk about who we're gonna kill"
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."

Good. Like watching him. Think buscemi is a class apart too, S.

The episodes leading up to Jimmy's murder in the 2nd series were immense. As was much ofnthe third. Rossetti, Richard, Arnold.... The characters are just brilliant.

3rd season was the best. Gyp was awesome, kind of sad he's dead. Surely the 4th season will be about Al Capone. Would like to see more of Chalky White as he was so loyal to Nucky.
I'll just C+P what I put on TOA last night after finished season 3;
Having a huge interest in 'mobsters' and US prohibition I can't help but I love BE. It has the potential to be the best tv show yet, even better than Sopranos and Breaking Bad. It might be slow in parts but I feel it's all part of building towards wherever Winter is going with the series. It never feels like filler which you sometimes get with long series. Seems to be edging towards the late 20s when the likes of Capone and Luciano made it big. Can see both featuring heavily in season 4.
Also, I gotta be honest as much as I liked Jimmy, I really haven't missed him. His death probably made season 3 so brilliant. Was a big move but I think it paid off.
Capone will take over and be the star of the next season , nucky will be clipped in the final episode is my shout , I like it but thought a few episodes in the 3rd seaaon were really slow , and I agree Kelly Mcdonald is becoming a right pain in the arse , shes the next to die .

The last four or five episodes of series three were fantastic but up until then I thought it was pretty poor as a series. And I agree about McDonald, she's ruining the programme for me and needs fucking off quickly. Awful character.
Loved the first 2 series but will have to wait for the 3rd to come out on DVD. It's up there with the other Yank series like Homeland. Thought the 2nd series dragged a bit but great finale.
Started watching the first series when it came out but stopped about half way through, but i got the first and second series on dvd, and after watching them all i thought it was fantastic.
But that Nelson Van Alden is a right cock, personally thought his scenes were pretty pointless and boring.
Just have to wait for the 3rd to come out on disk.
