Without clicking on that link as its that rag I would say we're the most successful. We'v won 41 trophies to United's 38 and Arsenal's 27. To say we are the greatest is a discussion that will be ongoing for ages and will no doubt be boring as fuck!!
I can see an argument for greatest club, not sure if the article is specifically looking for the best team ever as I can’t be arsed reading it.
Their overall trophy haul is greater than Uniteds, just so happens they haven’t won the League in ages. United have relative domination now, Liverpool had it in the past. Not sure they will ever get back to where they were all the same.
Ultimately their European pedigree puts them ahead of the others for now.

Liverpool edge it on trophies but when all said and done United and Liverpool are by far the two biggest and greatest football clubs in Britain. These modern pretenders don't come close!

Quote: Dempsey wrote in post #13Really ^ I think Liverpool WERE one of the biggest clubs
Nah, they are still a monster-sized club worldwide. It might take a sugar daddy for them to get back up there because of the Chelsea and City money but it will happen eventually. Unfortunately
It's Liverpool for me, I just fucking hate man who...but you all wish you had the arsenal's history... It's not easy winning fuck all
Eye's right, skin back tight, bollocks to the front, we're the boy's who make more noise when we're on the cunt, we're the riders of the night, and we'd rather fuck than fight, we're the riders of the Clock end Highbury
Got to go with European cup/ champions League wins so the scousers isn't it. Team though it's difficult to look past united treble in 99 very difficult to see that repeated.
Be careful what you dream of it may come up and surprise you.
Quote: Dempsey wrote in post #18Monster sized club worldwide yet when Roy was manager they had 35000 at a home game against Bolton I think,They WERE a big club
Barcelona got a few crowds in the teens I remember in the last decade or so. The big Italian clubs have some tiny crowds. Attendances aren't the only way to judge and if they had a bigger stadium their crowds would be higher.
I think your opinion is all based on when you grew up. If you were around when liverpool dominated europe, then you'll say liverpool, but for the younger folk, i've never really experienced liverpool dominating, like i have Man Utd. I appreciate the facts and figures of trophies won, but for me Utd are bigger, minus the thousands of glory hunting cunts.

If you're on about me, nah not turning but already getting butterflies thinking about tomorrow
Whatever the outcome, your 'Come on you Reds' tattoo etched across your chest is safe.
Trouble is the fuckers always raise their game against United. An experience you are well aware of, like the rest of the Midlands clubs do against West Brom
