Not sure about this appointment bayern are all about counter attacking rather than passing and posession not sure if hes been asked to change their style or play or not time will tell
The German leagues more exciting than the premiership as well so not surprised he choose it
happy days. the fella has some sense, staying well clear of our three ring circus.
meanwhile in a recycling bin in SW3, the Chelsea football club strategy for world domination is currently residing, in a crumpled up state whilst a number of cunts in suits sit nearby scratching their heads, trying to call on their extensive football acumen to make sense of why a highly sought after manager would snub them so......
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
I think the jury is still out on Guardiola. He did great at Barca but anyone with a modicum of talent as a football manager could play nice football with the players he had at his disposal. His transfer record was patchy as well. Let's be honest, the bloke who has took over at Barca isn't doing too badly is he?

Exactly. I think there is a lot of hype surrounding him. There's no doubt he has talent but with those 3 players in the form of your life I think all you have to do is chuck them a ball and let them do their magic. He did come unstuck against a not so good Chelsea side. I think appointing him at The Bridge would have been a bad choice.
I agree lads. Totally. I think the build of expectation wherever he goes will make it almost impossible to live up to. And like you say, it's one thing doing at a club he's been at for life where his word isn't in question, where he's got Messi and some of the worlds best, his respect is almost universal and no-one stepping out of line, etc....etc....etc.... He may well be one of the great coaches but at this point its still a gamble and he'd have been insane to come to Chelsea. Most would now....

Don't think bayern is left behind Chelsea in crazy. That old board with Rummenigge, Der Kaizer, Gerd Müller and whats his name is totally nuts. They run the club according to almost all coaches that has been there.
I hope all the best for Pep now he left Barca but I think he needs to brace himself for a big can of wupass

Proper sour grapes there mate!
The problem Pep will have from now on is that every team he assembles will be compared to his Barca team. And sadly that team was/is a one off.

sour grapes? behave yourself Ian! I like him that's why I'm glad he didn't come because I don't think it would have worked out at our gaff. I do think he's a gamble in the context of him being the Ruskies official 'This is the one I've been waiting for/Chosen one' manager to end all managers. And you've just reiterated what I said about expectations. And expectations at Chelsea are....... you're expected to play the players the owner buys, change the playing style, transition players in/out, qualify for the champions league next season....oh, and win the CL or PL. Did I mention get Torres to resemble a footballer? so all in all, No don't think Pep would have achieved that

dont think he's proven enough for the prmeier tbh.....lets be right anyone on here with half a brain could have managed that barca side....didnt the bloke who took over his job used to be in charge of tightening the players studs and cutting the oranges into quarters?

most managers haven't but it takes someone to give them the chance. Laudrup my childhood hero hadn't shown enough for premier league but he has done a cracking job at Swansea. Pep might have been the biggest successstory since Fergie but it takes someone to give him the chance. Might have gone bust though hehe
