Gents we are reviewing the sales section and although is a strong part of the forum it seems alot of space is been taken up by sales threads and its not really what we want this forum to be about, I logged in the other day and in latest posts there were mainly sales threads peering at me, We would like to keep these to a minimum if possible and are looking to revamp the section. THERE WILL ALSO BE A NEW STRUCTURE TO SALES.
From Next week when everything is in place you will need to be verified by other members in order to sell on this board and the post count will rise to 100 before you can apply to sell. As of now I activate people when they reach 50 posts manually after checking on how involved you have got. Its so easy to just come on and use this board as a selling section for your garments without getting involved and we dont want that to happen anymore. Offhand has always been a constructive board with excellent rapport between members and an informative site. I recently spoke with Ewen @ Garbstore who loved our site but did notice the amount of sales when I was trying to get them onboard. There was a suggestion that members should have or create a catalogue by a thread just on their own by username and list everything in there. This will keep things a lot tidier and also give you a creative way to list your garments, that way you can delete and add as you wish. Too many threads are getting lost with others and dont think it should be that they need to be bumped up.
You will also need vouching for to sell once reached 100 posts by other members and 10 members inclusing an Admin will have to agree.
All sales threads to give you a further opportunity will be copied and pasted over Ahoy sales for more exposure giving you more chance to sell as there are members on there who are not on here. I will personally hand pick what i feel will sell on that site and ask your permission as we will also be taking overstock from stores last AW season to put in there also.
These changes are to keep Offhand at a level we expect and drive the board into what we are known for, Chatting, informative, supporting and constructive opinions and knowledge on the things we are passionate/barking mad about. I will be creating the new sections this week and everybody who is above the thesehold and allowed to sell is sound, You will notice your username in a new section which will be locked until complete and then its entirely upto you what and how you maintain or sell your items.

They do but through bump or if an active thread then afraid the position changes all the time, there are your own options in the profile where you can select threads as read or mark them, So you maybe able to set that yourself. These are just pointers and just trying to keep the marketplace tidy, We understand its maybe the time when many sell just too much is getting lost imo and think members especially having their own thread can update etc and also could even create something away from the forum like a flickr to show their sales.

Does feeback count as vouching, I know I'm fine with at least 2 admin including yourself.
