alright there thought put thread up see if somebody could help me out here,ok got a wank condition item off ebay seller would not give me refund the twat so had to go down road of going through ebay claim etc said send back recorded tracked delivery said cost up to buyer to sort out so sent it back via 2nd class recorded with tracking number like there wanted there put this into claim sent it last tuesday still not got refund due to not being signed from seller keeping tracking all i keep getting is this
we have your Item tracking number BY etc was posted on 19/02/13 and is being progressed through our network for delivery, can anybody help has the postman had this away am £200 down and gutted!!!

also was getting sent up to scotland dundee area should be there by now looks like am £200 down as ebay won't put refund back into my paypal account until seller has signed for delivery etc can anybody help me???

Recorded deliverys are only tracked when you Post it (And they didn't even used to do that) and when It is signed for at the other end or a no answer docket is left.

I think it's 8 or 11 days after you have sent it that you can claim off the Royal Mail.
It's only up to £46 for 1st Class and I think slightly less for 2nd Class recorded.

yeah its been tracked from where i sent it from and there have my item is being progressed through our network for delivery thats what it saying when tracked just now just hope it turns up safe thanks for the info mate

Not sure but is it ok to post sellers eBay details so no one else can get stung?..

I think i'd have said i'm sending it SD for something of that value to cover myself even if they'd only wanted the 2nd class,eaby is just full of wankers and chancers.

I was under the impression you are only covered up to £50 or so anyway with 1st class recorded?

shite royal mail again when you pay for a service and lets you down utter wank.

If he is not expecting any items to be returned or used another address where he knows it goes to and will just leave it at post office so will look like unclaimed. He will wait till you file the claim, prob lose claim and then he get item ,Been tried before.

hope thats not the case just emailed ebay saying its prob been not been signed by postman and there have made delivery as its over week ago see what there say can't see my getting my refund but worth a try at end of day seller sold my bag of shite if he sold a ok condition item i would not be going down his road and royal mail have not done what i paid for signed delivery gutted.

It can take quite a while for them to update their system and show it has been delivered, up to a month after the person has actually got their item.

Also it's only been five working days since you posted it, 2nd class can take a long time to work through the system.

The guy might have sold you a tatty item but he probably isn't trying to rip you off.

even if it was posted SD you still needs to be signed for like something that was sent 1st class rec or 2nd class rec why pay for a service like this yeah made mistake but its still signed for???

but surely you have the record of postage and also all details with Ebay so the issue surely can be rectified with Paypal, can it not. You have done your bit by Ebay so Paypal should refund... I would forward or speak to Paypal about the refund, and tell them everything, what you suspect etc, Have you put in for refund off buyer through Paypal?

As above, you have used and supplied tracking number as suggested, so you've done your bit. I recently sent an item 1st class recorded and it took 18 days to get there (Scotland). When I typed in the tracking number all it kept saying was the same as you are getting, its only been a week and you used 2nd class so it could take another week at least. Hope it works out for you.
