Look's like he's calling it a day, retiring at the end of the season. Could have been one of the England greats but for injuries or maybe he just fell out of love with the game?!

I think the two are interrelated. Hard to enjoy playing when you're on the treatment table which feeds into further negativity. Seems like in recent years he's become ever more consumed by horse racing.

Christ i remember those, Ironic that they were filmed at the Brittania stadium and he'll be ending his career there.
Bad end to a career IMO. Stoke ? after the sides that he's played in and he'll end it playing in a rugby team.
Before anyone slags him off, take a look at his record, and also realise that there wont be a British Ballon d'or winner for another 10 years and more i reckon, and he was our last.
He was THE player when i started playing football, the player banging them in every week, hope he goes on to be a great in horse racing too. Never met him but never heard a bad word said about his personality.
too imjured & i think hes one of the players who think footballs not the thing for them to be doing, but spend most of there time playing golf or horse racing

If you think you were hard done to, look at Shevchenko's chelsea record
a wonder investment compared to ladyboy then again, we've a proven track record of turning decent strikers into a catastrophic mess.
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
Peaked at a very young age and was a decent striker but as usual with English players, overrated by the media. He never once managed to score 20 league goals in a season. An absolute weapon as well by all accounts, this video being a pointer:
Goal hanger, the games moved on since he first hit the scene. You need to be strong in more aspects of the game it's a team sport there's 10 others on your side. As for 5-1 against Germany, even heskey scored.
