I'm sorry but if West Ham want the stadium then let them pay for it themselves. I don't see why us, the tax payers should have to foot the bill for the extra 60 million!

I agree and it's only for 99 year lease! Tax Payer got robbed when they built it and they are getting robbed again! Green Street and Upton Park area will never be the same when they have moved!

Sign of the time. They'll be pushing 'English Soccer Experience' tickets to tourists up the west end and trying to secure foreign investment. The game at the top level is on its arse across Europe. Just look at Spain, two clubs prosper while the others die. In 15 years I envisage a European super league, played in exhibition games from Bahrain to Boston. Back here we'll pick up the crumbs and be told that the product we're paying for is 'the best in the world'. Silly cunts in jester hats and japs with cameras and half/half scarves will still lap it up. I don't get onboard with the AMF posturing, but the game as we know it is going the way of the dinosaur. At times like this I'm just glad I follow two very mediocre clubs who will, I hope, retain their identities.
Gutted tbh. Its a sad day, I rarely get to home games now but there is nothing like a night game at the Boleyn, the atmosphere really can be something very special. I've never understood why they can't develop the East Stand and get the capacity up to 40-45,000, thats more than ample imho and thats during the good times! I can't see crowds getting to that level at the OS no matter how cheap tickets are tbh. I feel sorry for Leyton Orient as it certainly won't do them any favours and I just pray it doesn't finish them off. As for the financial side I haven't really heard much on it tbh as been manic all day, I heard 15m up front and then 2m a year rent which just seems peanuts to me ???.I'm more interested to know where the coinage from the sale of the Boleyn will go, at the end of the day G &S are business men no matter how much they spout about their love for WH.
Must admit I agree with a lot of what Jack has posted above, the games pretty much fooked for me, ruined by money. My concern is the effect at grass roots!
Thats why I'm curious as to where the money from the sale of The Boleyn will go. I don't know what the ins and outs of the tenancy are but the bits I caught on Talksport suggested there was a lot of financial input from others ( Government, taxpayer, City of London etc ) which to me seems wrong when they are closing hospitals and cutting back etc, it just doesn't sit right.

I agree 100% with that. No f' ing common sense where corporations are involved. No wonder Boris is laughing today as 50% of the Olympic Park is in his name!!! Be a shame when I can longer see the Stadium from my mother in-laws flat...
