Off to Copenhagen this coming weekend with my girlfriend. I know we've a few members who live there, so any recommendations for food, drink, what to do, would be greatly appreciated. We're there from Saturday to Tuesday. Cheers gents!
Well there's loads to do. The sun is popping out this weekend so it's a great time to be arriving.
Saturday evening: Go have dinner at restaurant Höst at Nørre Farimagsgade 41 - Amazing restaurant, my pal works there and they cook some amazing scandinavian food at very decent prices! Nice atmosphere if you're bringing your bird as well. Alternatively go visit restaurant Bror at Skt. Pederstræde 24A - In the city centre, two former chefs of NOMA opened this restaurant this week. It's steeper than Höst but from what I've heard its amazing.
Even better is that I'm organizing a gig with the best band in Scandinavia the EMBASSY this saturday at Huset KBH (Rådhusstræde 13 in the city centre). My friend and I will be playing records from around eight a clock, then embassy plays and then the best DJ crew in Denmark will play obscure italo disco records until 2 in the morning. Stop by and I'll get you a pint. Here's a link if you're on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/events/389749367798818/?fref=ts
Sunday: If the sun is out go to Christiania for a walk around the pond out there. Obviously better in the summer but during spring its a nice area as well. A truly unique place so central, it's a vital part of copenhagen. If its raining take the train up the northern coast to museum Lousiana, absolutely stunning setting just by the water and one of Scandinavia's finest art galleries.
Monday shop around, nørrebro and vesterbro districts are recommended. Tuesday stop by norse store if you have the time as I'm working.
Let me know if you need more, but stop by the gig and I'll give you some drunken recommendations which surely will tops these.

That's absolutely ace mate, cheers. We're flying early on the Saturday, but hopefully we'll still be up for coming to your show. We've already decided to go to lousiana, i've had a few people recommend it, looks good. We're staying in the Avenue Hotel, do you know much about the place?
The hotel is on a street which is quite busy for cars, especially in the rush-our. It's a mainline for cars from the suburbs to the city centre and back. But its just by the lakes, on the border of the very hip Nørrebro-area, especially Blågårdsgade just across from the hotel and is a mix of middle-class yoga hipsters and 19-year old afghan thugs, very popular.
Be good if you stop by the gig, but yeah you should definitely check out Lousiana, and one of the restaurants I've recommended. If you're up for a Carlsberg and some danish smørrebrød (open sandwiches - classic) you should go to either Schönnemans (at Hauser Plads 16) or Aamans (Øster Farimagsgade 10) - both excellent places. The former is one of the high-end places visited by politicians etc, but the quality is stunning. Aamans is one of the finest chefs in Denmark, a close friend of my parents and serve some amazing traditional danish food worth checking out.

I loved my trip to Copenhagen a few years ago, great City and nice size to walk around get out to see Jonas at Casual Clothing, tell him Jules says hi and also we ate dinner at Mash and it was a superb meal etc but quite expensive.
Check out the open sandwiches here too, works of art you can eat :-)

Weather on monday should be the best this year, around 16-17 degrees, people are going crazy about it, makes sense as we've had below 0 for the latest 5 months. So go to louisiana on sunday and go for a walk at christiania on monday!
