Interested to know what any Stoke fans think, seems like a strange appointment to me ( panic like if anything ), for the me Hughes has never done anything. My brother in laws both thought he was shite at City, they used to say he overloaded the forwards and forgot the midfield so a lot of pressure was on the defence which meant they were always conceding goals. I doubt he will have the purse he's had at City and QPR but I guess time will tell.
The confirmation of football being 1,000,000 miles away from reality. In reality, if you constantly fuck up and do no good, you're CV looks crap and you have nothing to support the argument you'll do well in a job.....In football, constantly get sacked, win fuck all and get offered a job paying a 7 figure salary, consistantly.
How many more jobs will Hughes get before he gives up or no-one will have him??
He's shite it's not the fact that he bought some real crap at QPR (Zamora, ferdinand,wright-phillips & Bosingwa for starters on stupid money ) but the fact that he thought they would blend in with the likes of the lower paid grafters like Clint Hill, Mackie etc. Thats truely piss poor management. Saying that Stoke ( Norwich / Villa/Southampton) will be fine next season, last seasons championship was shocking and i really can't see any of the 3 going up staying up!
Be careful what you dream of it may come up and surprise you.
He doesn't deserve the stick he is getting. He did well at Blackburn (1st season avoided relegation, first season finished 6th, third season 10th, final season 7th), well at Fulham (8th) and failed at QPR, although there's not much you can do with a shit team as the rest of the season proved. Is his CV really that bad? No.

Ex Chelsea, that reason alone is a good enough for me to despise the arrogant twat!

ignoring the bucket load of cash he spent at City and ended up with a team that were draw specialists. Any better than Robson, Keane, Bruce, or any other of Fergies lot whom have gone into management?

He joined before the takeover but he still signed Kompany, arguably their greatest signing. So he succeeded in 5 Premier League seasons and failed in 1 season (half a season for City and half a season for QPR). To say he has failed everywhere he has been bla bla bla is simply not true, people just going along with the media bandwagon. I'm not saying he's a great manager but he's not as bad as everyone is making out.

dont talk balls. You fucking love OUR Steve Clarke and Lukaku
on Hughes, made some awful signings for QPR but generally not the worst about. However, not sure he'll be any better than Pulis either in how they perform or the style of play.
Still, I fully expect the whole of football to batter Stoke fans for hounding a manager out without giving him a chance......ooops, sorry, just realised, it's only us that gets that treatment.....
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."

*Sigh* Your not playing the game right are you mate, your suppossed to beat your chest and fire off an angry response!
As for YOUR Clarke and Lukaka, saw an interview with Lukaka only this week saying how much he'd come on with a better equipped club........like West Brom......he weighed in at 101 kilos at Chelsea, we had him down to a fighting fit 95 kilos. Be a waste if he went back, only to sit on the bench and pile it all back on again!
On the subject of Fan Power and Stoke, carefull what you wish for, look at Wolves!

The difference with us is that Rafa disrespected the fans before he became manager. The Stoke fans need a reality check, they can't do much better than Hughes, they are a Championship club punching above their weight.
If he wants to play football he is going to have to change that squad big style Whelan, shawcross, whitehouse, et al aren't going to be pinging it about, but can't see them getting in trouble. Plenty of clubs will be happy to take Pulis in the championship as we (itfc) were happy to take McCarthy.
