Couldn't disagree more there mate. He's perfected that role. People I've met through the years always moaned he never talked to the crowd and had no persona, he's grown some and people say it aint no good....He can't win.
Brilliant set too, some absolute classics in there, outlining how special those songs are, he wrote those as a teenager !!
As for Miles Kane....You do know Alex Turner wrote all his best songs....right ?? To me his most important contribution to music will always be playing guitar on 505 at all the big gigs,,,,haha

Well I didn't know Alex wrote those songs.
I don't follow new music that closely.
Still don't like the persona he has adopted now even though his song writing and their preformances when they started were very good.
Django Django been the best so far. I love AM, they can do no wrong for me :) But just like the times when I've been to Glasto before, the sound on the pyramid stage was poor. Drums sounded like cardboard boxes.
I've been to monkeys gigs when he's hardly muttered a word in between songs. So anything is an improvement!
More for the songs than the performance he will put in now. His best days are sadly behind him but I'm sure he can still do enough to put on a good show.
Really enjoyed AM performace last night. I'm counting minutes for AM gig in Lyon, France in three weeks time as me and my missus are flying to see them over there. Should be be a good one.

My opinion too, so i may come across a tad bias.
It's just what happens when they are 'your' band. Similar to footy allegiances
Just had a text off my mate who was also there in 07, he reckons last night blew it away....The depth of the music is obviously so much more but still 07 was special because of how young they were. Only getting better and better. 505 is the best track i have ever seen a band end on.
Thought the AM were class last night. Watched the last tour and Turner was giving the RocknRoll chat throughout the night then , I think its great very entertaining he's putting on a show at the eod.

Last time I went I was 'working' so managed to camp in an enclosed section with hot water etc, couldn't face doing the troughs etc after that! What the television can't convey is how good the sections away from the main stages are. Places like the Glade and NYC Downlow have some great acts and tend to have better crowds then the pyramid etc.
Only act I've watched this year is Chic who sounded superb. Pretty much the same setlist as when I saw them a few weeks ago - hit after hit after hit!
