Most cider drinkers have big red noses, unshaven and hang around bus stations. I had a go in Cornwall a good few years back. They would only serve you half a pint. I manage to get 2 and downed them both. They found me an hour later passed out sat on a toilet in the pub. Not the best tasting drink from what little I remember but a cheap way of getting plastered. Think the term acquired taste fits best.
Woke up from my first outing on that, cost me a pair of shoes (scuffed t'fuck), pair of jeans (hole in the knee) and a brand new pair of Police sunglasses (AWOL), plus pair of badly scuffed hands. Don't remember much about the night before but i reckon must have crawled home.
haha it is leathal stuff lads. But ive never been a larger or real ale man so its my poison of choice at the minute. Come to think of it thats probably why ive been waking up on a sunday morning covered in cuts and bruises lately.
Love the stuff in the summer, nice to pop down the cider house not far from me for a few of the specials and it is a few, they call it doing the magic 5, ie drinking 5pints, done 4 and that was messey. Crazy juice.
I like my lagers and the occasional Ale but i must admit that if im on a longer session i tend to start with the fuzzy ciders like strongbow just to last longer
They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.

Thatchers in the Ye Olde Man and Scythe bolton town centre can be a kick start to your night or the end. Don't think i have made it past 5 it just takes my head clean off. but i agree eddie its an amazing hangover cure!
The gems in the eye shine in the most irrelevant places but then again in the relevant impartially.
I like cider so I often pick up a couple of bottles Weston's when I'm in the supermarket although I've never tried 'Old Rosie'. Merrydown is another favourite of mine, both are tastier, stronger and far more refreshing than any of your premium lagers

Old Rosie 3 pints of that i guaruntee you will be steaming!
For all Weston's Connoisseurs out there may i recommend Weston's Vintage Reserve a suprisingly smooth cider and at 8.2% guaranteed to get you absolutely cabbaged.

I concur! ASDA used to do 3 bottles for £4....I used to buy 3 on a friday night and drink them all.......I wouldn't say you woke up with a clear head but the next morning wasn't too bad at all considering the alcohol percentage.
I might pop into ASDA tomorrow night!
Dirty old river, must you keep rolling, Flowing into the night.......
