you need to put security on them ? got full Norton on my laptop , but having just got 4th gen ipad , wondered if you need to instal any sort of security on it ?
Never had anything on ours Steve, my understanding with all Apple gear is they have it all built in (anti virus etc ), never loaded anything onto any of our Apples
No idea mate as I've never had the need to tbh, We have Mac, Macbook pro and ipad and never had any issues thus far. I recall googling it when we first got the Mac and came to the opinion that Apple basically issue security updates as and when so as long as you keep the software up to date you have no issues but I am no expert.
you can have your apple product jail broken, which means your going over the programming apple have set up for the phone (ie can use flash player, get free apps and basically do alot of stuff you wernt able to normally)
The shit storm as i put it is simply its prone more now to viruses, you lose any warranty on the product.
Jailbreaking doesn't make it any less secure theirs no viruses made to target iOS so you iphone, iPad ect will never get a virus if its jail broken or not
In terms of warranty it doesn't change any of the hardware all you are doing is altering the software on the device and it can be easily reset back to the factory settings if you do need something fixed and its still under warrenty

it is pretty good using it in beta mode atm..
there are viruses for mac its just extremely rare to get them but theres no need to waste money on antivirus on a apple device or any device for that matter!
