I've a feeling we'll lose this one. Can't see us keeping Utds attack out but decent shout for the old 'goal rush'. And bound to be a controversial incident.
*GTBI wipes froth from mouth and begins to deliver his (usual) ante-Chelsea rhetoric in his accomplished one fingered typing style................
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
Quote: Dempsey wrote in post #2Hope the cockneys don't win but really I couldn't careless
Would that be the cockney reds?
Mr Ramsees, were gonna start a thread but you beat me to it. I'm gonna sit on the fence till the final whistle, my only input at this moment in time is I hope that cunt gets sent off, and I don't mean spud 'ed
A tactical game wouldn't be your cuppa. Your used to the 'jumpers for goalposts' mentality. It's a lot more tactical and strategic when Europe's big clubs meet each other

Tactics, as in knock it back to the keeper. Bet there were a few 'die hard, battle hardened' fans who fell asleep in their armchair watching that one!
On a brighter note, we're still in touching distance of both teams.

I'll have to take your word on the Carragher quote as I don't have the luxury of sub titles on my tv.
German football looks the business judging by the weekly highlights programme on ITV4.Was over in Dortmund 10 years ago, looks a better experience now. I took in Southport v Gateshead while away for the weekend there and enjoyed it better than any of the Premiership grounds I have visited in recent years.Real fitba, banter between the fans and players interacting with the crowd. Their club shop was selling old programmes. One was a Fourth Division match v Swansea in 1977 I think it was.Just shows how fortunes can change in football.
Scottish fitba has more home grown players now,so obviously it's not as exciting as when the Di Canio's/Laudrup's etc played but there has been some good games last 2 seasons in amongst the dross.I still feel we need summer fitba though as the lure of The Premiership has affected out football massvely.
