I'll be honest with you, if some cunt had said to me 5 year ago, oh you'll be peeving red wine rather than throwing cans or pints down me Gregory, I would have told them stop talking bollox,,,! Now ... Now ... Food and vino all the way
I cant drink red wine, the smell puts me off. I m a white wine guy (gay I know..) but my missus says this is the best shes ever tasted, and believe me she s tried a few..
Generally don't spend more than £5/6 on a bottle and the difference was noticeable. Can't say I'm the biggest fan of red, but I do enjoy it now and again.

amen.
Absolutely love my reds. I'm no connoiseur but love a merlot, a nice rioja or a mild shiraz. The hangover though is unbelievable. Probably like most on here, I can shift a fair few beers on matchday or a night out but 2 bottles of red and I'm ruined the next day. Remember Jon Bon Jovi saying one of the benefits of being a multi million selling artist is being able to buy decent red wine that doesn't give you a terrible hangover. Unfortunately, I'm not a multi million selling artist......

What's quaffable for you chaps
Love the stuff, Campo yellow label is a Crinaza. When Tesco have their fiver a bottle deals on with 25% off if you buy 6 bottles I generally buy all my locals stock, means get 6 for 22.50, certainly a bargain, or if Morrisons have it 5.50 a bottle and 25% off for 6 bottles I get at least 6 cases, works out at buy a case get one free. If you like Rioja Crianza look out for Anares Crianze, difficult to get in the UK at the moment but worth it if ya do.
Bloody love the stuff, particularly the "heavy" reds... Chateauneuf a favourite but rare you'll buy it for less than a tenner in the shop and 40 in a restaurant... If you fancy a real treat get some Italian Amarone. Usually 15% alcohol and the flavour is unbelievable. Rare to see in the supermarket even at around £20 a bottle although keep your eyes on aldi who occasionally do it at Xmas for around £15. It tastes the bollox too, restaurant wise you'd pay £60 a time for this !! On the subject of aldi don't be a snob and get in there for the wine if nothing else... Any red for a fiver in there is shit hot and I bought a white Chardonnay recently that was £4 and one of the best I'd tasted. Hicc :-)
Even if I consider myself as an open minded person, when it deals with some subjects (food, drinks, clothes, music, girls...) , I keep wearing my blinders on. And happy with it. I was 100% Bordeaux a few years ago and now more and more interested in Bourgogne. Though my best wine experience was a delicious Christmas dinner last year in Bordeaux only drinking 95+ wines in Robert Parker guide. http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/5049/wn9l.jpg http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/6223/epw2.jpg
I can see an Offhand wine club in the making .....
right, off to do my bet and have a quick prayer that Joses unbeaten home league record doesn't end today otherwise a certain members cunt rating on here will move from an already high proportion to a whole new stratosphere .............
